Is Walmart open on Christmas Eve 2022?
Walmart stores will be open on Christmas Eve, with some locations closing early at 6:00 p.m. local time.
Walmart stores have historically closed on Christmas Day, but the company made some changes to its holiday hours over the last couple of years. The chain decided to close its stores, as well as Sam’s Club locations, on Thanksgiving Day in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The retail giant continued the tradition in 2021 as well as in 2022 by remaining closed on Thanksgiving.
While many businesses will remain closed on Christmas, a handful of stores are remaining open on the day. Walgreens will remain open with its normal hours on Christmas Day in most locations, and some CVS Pharmacy locations will be open on Christmas Day, though possibly operating with reduced hours.
