It's very nearly Christmas, which means soon it will be...very nearly time for Christmas returns. Whether you got doubles of that cast-iron skillet you asked for or realized you have nowhere to wear those nice work pants your aunt gifted you, we'll all probably be making a return or two this year. And if your gift came from Walmart, it's about to get even easier to process.

The company announced a new system that will allow customers to process and ship back returns without ever leaving their homes. It's called Carrier Pickup by FedEx and here's how it works: Create a return request on Walmart.com, select your item, choose a pick-up date, print out the label, stick it to your package, and have it outside and ready to be returned on that date. Easy peasy! It is the perfect option for those trying to avoid the stores right now.

If you don't have a printer like I am imagining many of us don't, make a return request and select “Drop off at FedEx” as the return method. Get a return code / QR code and take your packaged return along with the QR code to any FedEx Office location. From there, they will ship it and you're good to go!

The process is also totally free and will be sticking around past the holidays for your convenience. You can learn more about the whole process, as well as Walmart's updated return policies, here.
