The New Walmart Find That Will Make Your Next Meal Taste Like One From Texas Roadhouse

The crux of any decent meal at a casual restaurant chain is usually their signature rolls and bread. Red Lobster has their famous Cheddar Bay Biscuits, Cheesecake Factory has a delicious assortment of freshly baked loaves and Texas Roadhouse has its drool-worthy pillowy soft yeast rolls. Of course, we might grab a steak or partake in a plate of garlicky shrimp scampi while we’re there, but the real reason we show up is to scarf down roll after roll before we’ve even had time to place our order. And, if we’re being honest, who needs endless shrimp when the complimentary bread is so good?

What most chains seem to spend less of their budget on, however, is crafting the perfect buttery sidekick to go along with their signature before, during and after-dinner accouterment. Unless, of course, you’re Texas Roadhouse. And if you’re a Roadhouse devotee, you’ve probably slathered more of that delicious cinnamon honey butter on their rolls than you care to admit. Think of it like the icing on top of a melt-in-your-mouth yeasty pillow of deliciousness.

But making a trip to the neon-lit, honky-tonk, southwest-inspired eatery every day may not be the best use of our finances (no matter how delicious it is). Thankfully, there's now a delectable dupe for the chain's legendary butter available at Walmart, and you’ll want to slather it on everything from waffles to French toast.

Launched under Walmart’s new private-label Bettergoods line, a 3.7-ounce tub of Cinnamon Honey Butter made its debut, and we’ve never raced to Walmart sooner. The tantalizing butter is made with just five simple ingredients—butter, confectioners sugar, honey, molasses and cinnamon. And as minimal as the ingredients are, shoppers say the spread delivers big on flavor and is an almost exact replica of the condiment from Texas Roadhouse.

Even better is the meager cost of just $2.56 for the container, and at that price, we might just stock the fridge with a couple to ensure we never run out. The only thing we don’t have (yet) is a dupe for their soft, pillowy rolls, but you can always grab a dozen to-go on your way back from Walmart.
