Walmart has been making headlines lately for issues with customers tampering with products: First it was ice cream-licking (gross), then it was gargling mouthwash and spitting it back into the container (double gross). Now, the chain is investigating whether someone has been meddling with its shampoo in a Wisconsin store.

In a recent Facebook post, Taffy Jo Timm explains how her daughter, Ashley Rose, picked up a bottle of Pantene Pro-V Sheer shampoo from her local Walmart in New Richmond. After she purchased the products, Ashley washed her hair and realized something didn't seem quite right.

"I just went on with my normal Sunday routine got in shower shampoo, and conditioned my hair got out something was different and didn’t smell the greatest," she wrote in a Facebook post. "I carried on sat down for a bit and then decided to go blow dry my hair, I took my hair out of the towel and it smelt terrible, got back in the shower used my other shampoo and rubbed that in, as I took my hands out of my hair it was covered in hair and just kept on falling out." Her mother's post goes on to say that they believe Nair, a hair-removal lotion, was mixed into the shampoo.

As the state of her hair kept getting worse and worse, Ashley says that she went to a consultation to see if she could have hair extensions put in. But, her hair was found to be too brittle and delicate to be able to hold them in properly. According to the Facebook post and a GoFundMe page set up for her by friends—to help pay for wig, medical, and legal costs—Ashley ended up having to shave her entire head due to the damage caused by the tampered with hair products.

Tara Ashton, a spokeswoman for the retail giant, told local Wisconsin station KTVU that the company is investigating and working with law enforcement to review camera footage. Ashley said she also filed a police report.
