“1. Textures – The trick he’s spent the most years trying across various stair sets. This trick’s battle is the subject of a beautiful video essay Walker made, which we’ve shared in our story. Filmed by @rbumali. Second angle by his wife, Whitney.

2. Zach and Walker’s Concrete Jungle by @ericlesar – While getting his sociology degree at UCSD, he passed this spot on campus every day. This was one of his first sequences in a magazine and reminds him of his early Organika days.

3. The S.H.U.F.F.L. Video by Walker Ryan – His goal with with this video was spotlighting his unsponsored friends, many of whom went on to have incredible pro careers. This homage to @labucha’s regular backside flip was his first photo in Thrasher, and the first time he tried this, he sprained both his wrists clipping on the switch ollie up. Filmed by Justin Carlson.

4. Organika Graduation by @frekleface – The hardest he’s ever worked for a trick, this required returning 7 or 8 times. He finally rolled away after warming up with switch tres down the nearby 10 stair.

5. Perpetual Motion by @jon__holland + @christhiessen – Some trick mean a lot because they’re hard. This one was meaningful because it came easily on a relaxing day at Lockwood, and he grew up watching this spot in Mouse.

6. Perpetual Motion – Right before he landed it, Walker overheard a kid proclaiming to his dad, “I want to watch him die!”, filmed by @richard_quintero

7. Sabotage 4 by @brian_panebianco – The best trick he’s ever done, which went down the same weekend he met his wife. @danz coordinated by calling the city to discover when the fountain would be drained.

8. Thunder part by @ericlesar – A spontaneous spot for a new trick

9. NOVIA by Walker Ryan (clip by @sebowalker) – Filmed shortly after @marksuciu texted him, out of the blue, asking if he’d done this trick before. (He hadn’t.) This video premiered the week he got married.

10. Textures by Patrik Wallner + @mattschleyer – The day this went down, he only wanted to pose a photo and do it later. But when the Antihero/Supreme crew ended up lurking across the street with @johncardiel on the session, and after @kyotaumeki got a trick on the ledge, he knew he had to roll away.”
