As Global Entry becomes more and more popular, wait times to score the coveted popular time-saving tool is also increasing.

Luckily, CBP has released an app that that allows travelers to breeze through the process by taking a selfie in the line, versus waiting for the kiosk station to become available.

A time saving tip for travelers seeking the Global Entry service is to enroll upon arrival back into the United States from a foreign country. The CBP maintains a list of the more than 60 airports where travelers can utilize the enroll upon arrival program.

It’s been a summer of slowdowns for travelers seeking government identification or access to programs like Global Entry. In addition to the delays at CBP, travelers seeking a passport from the United States Department of State are subject to a 10 to 13 week processing time, according to the latest data from the Department’s website.
