It's about to be a Hot Girl Summer in Hawkins, Indiana, because Megan Thee Stallion might be joining the cast of the hit Netflix series, Stranger Things.

The 27-year-old rapper got fans buzzing when she posted a new carousel of photos to Instagram, one of which showed her holding a sign that featured the Stranger Things logo (in the fifth slide below). In her caption, she merely typed emojis of a spider, a web and a red heart.

Immediately, fans got excited in the comments, like one user who wrote, “WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT WAIT.” Another commented, “If booked and busy needed a picture in the dictionary, it would be you friend!!” Meanwhile, actress Bella Thorne wrote, “R u kidding me.”

Megan Thee Stallion's slideshow didn't reveal much else, but another photo did show her sitting in front of a vanity, in a chair that said: “Netflix.” In the last photo, the musician also showed off her nails, which were adorned with decorative spiders (quite fitting for the Halloween season).

It would make sense if the Texas native ended up appearing on the show, because she's a fan of all things spooky.

In the past, the “Savage” singer has showed off shockingly impressive Halloween costumes, and for the past couple years, she has even celebrated the beginning of the Halloween season by posting pics of herself with a pumpkin on her head to Instagram.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Variety back in 2020, Megan Thee Stallion revealed that she was working on a horror movie too. While discussing the screenplay for the film, the rapper said, “It’s gonna be something that definitely blows your mind; you’ve never seen it before.”

This past August, the writers of Stranger Things revealed that the upcoming fifth season was already underway, and while talking with Variety, creators Matt and Ross Duffer said, “During the six month pandemic hiatus, we outlined season 5 and pitched it to Netflix...The gap should be quite a bit shorter this time, due to the fact that we already have an initial outline, and we can’t imagine there will be another six-month forced hiatus.”

We're keeping our fingers crossed that we get a cameo from Megan.
