Wait, Who Was Childish Gambino’s Talented Little Friend at the Grammys?

The animal kingdom and music world collided at tonight’s Grammy Awards.

Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover) took the stage with 9-year-old actor JD McCrary to deliver a jaw-dropping performance of “Terrified.” But this wasn’t the duo’s first time working together.

In fact, little McCrary, whose voice is also featured on the album version of “Terrified,” stars opposite Childish in Disney’s forthcoming Lion King reboot. The pair plays young Simba and grown-up Simba, respectively.

If only the rapper would have held his little Lion King buddy up Rafiki style, our evening would be complete.
