If you're a fan of the Waffle House brand, then boy do I have a real treat for you. After over 60 years in business, the popular chain—which is known for never closing and serving breakfast 24/7—is gearing up to release its first-ever beer. And, get this, it smells just like bacon. What?!

Collaborating with Greensboro, Georgia brewing company Oconee Brewing Company, the new brew will be called Bacon & Kegs! and offers up a 6.5% ABV. So, while the smell may draw bacon fanatics like myself in, the ABV of this red ale will probably be the thing to make you stay. Waffle House fanatics will also appreciate the awesome design of the can, too. Featuring cartoon-like renderings of bacon, beer, and of the iconic Waffle House restaurant—all created by Georgia agency, Brock Company Creative—everything effortlessly ties together in this appealing new ale.

Don't rush out to your local liquor store to grab them just yet though. The beer won't be available until Friday, December 18 and unfortunately, for those not local to the state of Georgia, you'll only be able to nab it at the Greensboro brewery. If you want to take a drive up to Oconee Brewery, however, you'll be able to purchase the ale in six-packs of 12 ounce cans or on draft.

Surprisingly (or not for those who stay updated on all things WH), this isn't the chain's first time breaking beer-related news though. Back in 2018, the Georgia-based chain began serving beer at its first location—which was in the newly opened SunTrust Park baseball stadium in Atlanta.

Whether you're a Georgia resident or not, you've got to admit that all this bacon and beer news is definitely worth celebrating.
