Voting open for best Escape the Vape video

Earlier this year, Clatsop County middle and high school-age youth were invited by the Clatsop County Department of Public Health to create and submit a 30-second public service announcement video to educate their peers on the dangers of e-cigarette use, also known as vaping.

Ten finalist videos are posted at Clatsop County’s Escape the Vape website, escapethevapeclatsop.com, through May 8. The public is invited to vote for their favorite.

The five videos with the highest vote count in each age category will win cash prizes for the youth and their school. The first place winner in each category receives $500 each for the individual and their school; second place receives $450 each for the individual and their school; and third place winner in each category receives $400 each for the individual and their school. Two runners-up in each category will receive $50 each .
