Appleton Housing Authority: Is seeking a volunteer receptionist at their main office now through mid-June. Hours are 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, with flexibility. Child Care Resource and Referral Inc.: Is looking for volunteers for office cleanup projects such as disassembling and sorting file folders and similar tasks, as well as volunteers to assist with packing giveaway bags, and sorting and adding labels to items for summer events. Community Benefit Tree: Is seeking volunteers for Angels to Heroes Night at the Races from 5 to 9 p.m. June 7. Angels to Heroes will have an informational booth and sell 50/50 raffle tickets during the race, and needs volunteers to either sell tickets or staff the booth. Contact: David, 920-309-7709

Fox Valley Literacy: Is looking for volunteers for childcare and activities while parents learn English. Volunteers will receive training, and games and snacks are provided. Parents handle diapering and bathroom needs. Classes are 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, June 19 to Dec. 11, in downtown Appleton. Six to 15 kids are expected. Multiple volunteers needed. Pillars Inc.: Is looking for front desk assistants at the Adult & Family Shelter and Resource Center who act as a point of contact for clients, staff, donors, and community members. Volunteers greet visitors and clients, answer and directs phone calls, monitor the lobby, provide donation intake and assistance, along with other administrative tasks as needed.
