Awards season is here! But let’s face it, it’s not all about the awards, as I’m really watching what people are wearing on the red carpet. A-listers are dressed to impressed with head-turning hairstyles and makeup too.
So in honor of awards season, I have decided to create my own red-carpet look. Watch the video above as I, your Accidental Beauty Blogger host, test out beauty products that celebrities actually use on the red carpet. And, of course, I will be choosing my ultimate must-have at the of end the episode. Keep reading for more details on why you’ll want to purchase one of these products for yourself.
This may be a drugstore beauty product, but it is such a good, affordable find! Did you know that Nicole Kidman wore this eyeliner at the Golden Globes? This Neutrogena Precision Liquid Eyeliner is smudge-proof and made with ingredients that are gentle for your eyes. Can you ask for anything else? Even though it is a liquid eyeliner, it dries down quickly and won’t fade or flake. I wore it for the entire day and it was pretty easy to remove before the end of the night.
Yay! My favorite lipstick is back again. If you recall, Elson 2 was an ultimate must-have in a previous Accidental Beauty Blogger episode. And I am even more excited that it was recently worn by Priyanka Chopra at the Golden Globes. The actress and film producer got glamorous with three of the Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Labs Lipsticks — Vendetta, Elson 2 and Obsessed. I created my own custom lip color with Vendetta and Elson 2 and I think it turned out just as beautiful.
I was both excited and terrified to apply these fake eyelashes! These are from Jennifer Lopez’s go-to makeup artist Scott Barnes’s line, and I am obsessed with all things J.Lo. However, I am horrible at putting on false lashes. The Scott Barnes Olivia Falsetto Eyelashes literally brought to life my red-carpet look, making me feel like baby J. Lo! They do not feel heavy even though they may look like they weigh a ton. Just have your favorite lash glue handy!
FYI: if Jennifer Lopez uses it, I want to use it. And the secret behind the star’s impeccably-styled Golden Globes braided updo is Color Wow Cult Favorite Firm and Flexible Hairspray. I must say this spray does hold your style while keeping your hair soft and shiny. I kept spraying my hair because I wanted that slick look. It was fast drying, super easy to comb and non-flaky. The Cricket Static Free Ponytail Pro literally helped me add the finishing touch. It’s nylon bristles ensure a bump-free, smooth ponytail. No hair ties? No problemo! The brush includes a custom hair tie handle and three hair ties for you to use! It’s everything you need in a brush and more!
The Ultimate Must-Have
These Scott Barnes lashes were the bomb.com! They are so comfortable and easy to wear... even with the multi-dimensional layer. And it really took my red-carpet look to the next level. The false eyelashes blended flawlessly with my natural lashes, adding the right amount of volume and length.
