Kelly Clarkson will probably never stop laughing at Blake Shelton after Monday night's season 20 premiere of The Voice.

The spring 2021 season got off to a great start with each coach — Blake, Kelly, John Legend, and Nick Jonas — picking up a handful of singers during the first episode. But for Blake, things got a little awkward once contestant Peter Mroz stepped onto the stage.

After wowing both John and Blake with his rendition of Blind Faith's "Can't Find My Way Home," it came time for Peter to talk to the coaches. When Peter claimed to be "the old guy" of the group, Blake interjected and said he was the oldest. That's when Peter quickly clapped back at Blake, "I'm gonna get to you."

Sensing something was up, Blake turned to Kelly, John, and Nick and said, "Sounds like there's some history there, and that's normally not a good thing with me."

Moments later, Peter revealed himself to be an old bandmate of Blake's from the country singer's early days in the industry with a group called The Young Riders. Right away, Kelly started laughing and making fun of Blake, who seemed shocked, for failing to recognize the artist.

"Are you, are you serious?" Kelly shouted at Blake, who defended himself by saying it had been 25 years since last seeing Peter. "You were in a group with him, and he doesn't remember you?"

Thankfully, Peter had a sense of humor about the whole thing, though he did accuse Blake of stealing his bass player. "No, I gave your bass player a job," Blake jokingly replied.

In the end, Peter decided to join Team Blake. On Twitter, the country star made it clear that he was "excited" to be working with his old bandmate again. "Talk about a full circle moment @pete_mroz!," he tweeted.

Somewhere right now, Kelly is probably still chuckling to herself about the whole thing.
