Fans and viewers of The Voice have put forth an intriguing theory on Reddit suggesting that coach Gwen Stefani might depart from the current season earlier than anticipated. This, as reported by the U.S. Sun, comes in light of the backlash Stefani, 54, received last week for the contestants she picked to comprise her ultimate team.

Is Gwen Stefani Leaving The Voice Early This Season? Some Fans Think So

Despite rescuing contestants BIAS and Kara Tenae, she also snatched Stee from fellow coach John Legend. Redditors recently asserted that Stefani appeared "hesitant" following her decision to add Tenae as the final vocalist to her team. As one wrote on the  site following last week's round: "[Stefani] looked nervous after picking Kara I swear she knows her days are numbered and her team isn't all that good."

On X (formerly Twitter), another user who suspects that the "Luxurious" singer might leave the show tweeted: "After this knockout, I wouldn’t blame Gwen for not coming back as a coach." They added: "Hheck, if prob just go ahead and not finish the season." Someone else believed that out of all the coaches (including Stefani, Legend, Niall Horan and Reba McEntire), Stefani's team "is the weakest."

The user continued: "She swears she knows what she is doing with these singers, and it's clear she doesn't." Another concurred: "Yeah gotta agree. Gwen's was the only team that had some off pitch moments with all 3 singers tonight. Two of the three performances were still good but more flawed than most of the other team's singers this evening."

At the beginning of the month, the GXVE Beauty mogul came under fire from her supporters due to her seemingly indecisive manner when she was forced to send members of her team home during a recent episode of The Voice.

Viewers were privy to coaches putting two of their team members against each other, leading to the task of picking a winner.

The "Sweet Escape" singer seemed to struggle the most with making a decision and this left some viewers of the NBC musical competition show feeling frustrated. "Sick of Gwen never making a choice, didn't miss her at all," one tweeted after the November 13th episode aired.

Stefani, unlike her husband Blake Shelton who starred on the show for 23 consecutive seasons before leaving, has taken breaks in-between seasons and spent time away from it. She served as a coach for seasons 7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22 and this current season, 24. She was also a mentor for seasons 8 and 10.

While this idea of her leaving early is most likely just a fan theory, unexpected things have certainly happened with coaches on the show (after all, Horan recently shocked viewers with his hiatus from The Voice so he could go on tour!)
