With season 22 of The Voice in its final weeks, the competition is intensifying but Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are still cheering each other on. That said, one of their compliments inadvertently set off social media and folks still aren't over it.

During the first live episode of the season on Monday night, Team Blake member Rowan Grace gave a rousing performance of Olivia Newton-John's "Hopelessly Devoted to You." After the 17 year old's moving rendition, the camera panned over to Gwen for her thoughts and she kicked off her feedback by commending Blake's choice of song ... with unique phrasing.

"Wow, Daddy, you're doing so well with her!" she told the country singer, most likely referring to the competitor's young age. "Good job! Honestly, that was so beautiful."

Without missing a beat, The Voice fans picked up on Gwen's use of the word "daddy" and immediately shared their own hilarious commentary about it on Twitter.

“'DADDY' — Gwen Stefani to Blake Shelton. The moment we all collectively [died]," one person wrote. "Gwen: 'You have mommy, now you have daddy.' [I'M DEAD]," another added. "Mommy Gwen and Daddy Blake are so cute! 🥰🥰🥰," a different fan said.

While Gwen's choice of words definitely raised eyebrows (due to the sometimes NSFW meaning), Blake quickly shut down any straying thoughts with a playful response. "Taught her everything she knows," he replied as everyone in the audience laughed.

Luckily, Rowan and Blake's hard work paid off, because she made it to the top 13 the next night. As fans may know, the "God's Country" vocalist previously said that he "missed out on a lot" by not choosing to have kids. It wasn't until Gwen entered his life that he got the chance to become a stepdad to her sons — Kingston, Apollo and Zuma — and experience the joys of parenting.

“I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes," he told KFROG’s The Ride with Kimo & Heather. "I love my stepfather and I look up to him and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be. And I take it very serious.”

So sweet!
