Fans of The Voice, prepare to swoon. The show may be airing its 22nd season later this fall, but NBC has decided to provide lots of content leading up to the premiere. In between all the competition series' antics though, fans are in a tailspin from a sweet intimate moment that happened between coaching couple, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani.
In a new video posted to the "God's Country" singer's Instagram, the coaches (which include John Legend and newcomer Camila Cabello) are seen working behind the scenes of an official photoshoot for the upcoming 2022 season. While they're all busy taking pictures, the camera spent a good amount of time focusing on Blake and Gwen. As the "Hollaback Girl" musician wears a pink formfitting dress and white thigh high boots, she playfully danced in front of her husband, who lovingly stared at her.
"Get ready.. @NBCTheVoice is back!!!!" he captioned the clip. "Did y’all miss us??? #TheVoice premieres September 19th on @nbc! #TeamBlake."
The Voice fans loved seeing the "Nobody But You" singers share the subtle but heartfelt moment. Lots of folks let the duo know just that in Blake's comments section.
"Blake & Gwen are so cute and beautiful. 🥰 #TeamBlake #TeamGwen #TheVoice ❤️," one fan gushed. "I’m here for Gwen and Blake😍," wrote another follower. "Love you Blakey and that dress Gwen 🥰😘!! You two are on fire 🔥👏😍," a different person said.
It's wonderful to see the husband and wife duo enjoying time together again on the popular competition show. After all, they do have The Voice to thank for their romance. The twosome first met in 2014, when Gwen joined the show as a coach in season 7. Since then, their romance has been a match made in musical heaven. Last summer, they tied the knot over 4th of July weekend.
Although Gwen is returning after taking some time off from The Voice, she definitely holds a high regard for the life she's built from the job opportunity.
"Stepping back on the set of The Voice this time was very surreal," she told NBC Insider. "Being married, it brought back so many memories of all the different seasons that we've been on The Voice together, all the different phases of our friendship, of our relationship."
As for what the couple's dynamic will be like this season? According to Blake, it may be less about the competition and more about just spending quality time together. "The best part about working with my wife is that I never have to be apart from her," he also told the outlet. "She also happens to be one of the least competitive people I know. Being on a competition show with your wife, who is also not competitive, is the greatest situation you can be in."
Let's hope everything the "God Gave Me You" singer says holds up! But given how Blake is extremely competitive, we may just see some unique moments from him and Gwen. Truthfully, we can't wait to see what comes in September.
