Blake Shelton may have met his match when it comes to doling out shade on The Voice — and her name is Ariana Grande.

Ever since the first season of The Voice premiered in 2011, Blake has been known to cause trouble and poke fun at his fellow coaches. While several past and present coaches have stood up to him before — including Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson — Blake may have finally met his match. Now that Ariana has joined season 21 as the newest coach, the "Dangerous Woman" singer has come up with her own ways to get back at Blake.

Perhaps one of the best examples of Ariana putting Blake in his place happened before the premiere of season 21 on Monday night. On Instagram, Ariana posted an iconic scene from the movie Mean Girls, where Regina George (Rachel McAdams) angrily adds her own picture to The Plastics' famous Burn Book and writes that she's a "fugly slut" to frame her friends. Hilariously, Ariana added Blake's picture over Regina George's, and the result, as you can see below, is epic.

Right away, Ariana's fans wrote that they were "screaming" and "crying" over the hilarious dig at the country singer. Fellow coach John Legend commented, "Fantastic" while his wife, Chrissy Teigen, liked the post. Most notably, Blake himself had something to say: "Ok little buddy ... This is WAR!"

Not only was this dig super creative, but it's on brand for Ariana, whose wildly popular music video for her wildly popular song "Thank U, Next" happens to be Mean Girls-themed.

Of course, Blake isn't the only coach feeling the wrath of Ariana this year. While competing with John to get Katie Rae Mortimer on her team, Ariana cut John off while he was pitching himself to the artist. In the middle of John's pitch, "Thank U, Next" began blaring throughout the studio, which prompted Kelly Clarkson to roar with laughter. Thankfully, John was a good sport about it and began dancing to the tune.

On Twitter, John tweeted a clip of the incident and wrote, "Well played @ArianaGrande ... well played!"

Well played, indeed! These coaches — and especially Blake! — better watch out. Ariana is not playing around this season.
