'The Voice’ Fans Are Really Shading Nick Jonas Over One Controversial Comment

From Country Living

  • Nick Jonas said choosing between Joanna Serenko and Roderick Chambers on The Voice was the "toughest position" he's ever been in.

  • Fans were quick to remind him about another decision he made that may trump this one in difficulty.

Whether or not you listen to their music, you’ve probably heard of the Jonas Brothers.

They were all the rage back in the early 2010s, and people were devastated when Nick Jonas parted ways with Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas in 2013.

“I said, ‘You know, I feel like the Jonas Brothers should be no more, and we should go on individual journeys,’” Nick told CBS Sunday Morning in 2019. “And it didn’t go so well.”

Now, the group is back together and Nick is currently coaching on The Voice. He even managed to get Joe and Kevin to serve as mentors for his team this season.

It seems like all the wounds have healed and the boys have moved on. Fans, however, aren’t as forgiving and had a lot to say after Nick slipped up during the first round of the Battles.

Nick’s two amazing contestants Joanna Serenko and Roderick Chambers went head-to-head, singing a beautiful rendition of “When the Party’s Over” by Billie Eilish. It was nearly impossible to pick a winner, as both were highly regarded by Nick and his fellow coaches Blake Shelton, John Legend, and Kelly Clarkson.

That prompted Nick to say the following: “I am in the toughest position I have been in in my life right now trying to decide between the two of you.”

Oooh, Nick, you don’t even know what you did! People on Twitter could not resist the opportunity to call him out, reminding him that maybe breaking up his band was worse. One person even joked, “2013 still stings ya know.”

The hysterical responses speak for themselves—and we hope Nick and his brothers keep recording addicting music to make up for Nick’s actions!
