Before you know it, a new season of The Voice will be upon us and it'll be time to vote for the next winner of the show.

Following in the footsteps of years past, the NBC singing competition series will be returning for a springtime edition. To keep things fresh, the network is switching a few things up, including the roster of battle advisors and even one coach. Curious? Read on for all the details we have about season 20 of The Voice:

The Voice is coming back for its 20th season on Monday, March 1, 2021. Given that this year will mark the show's 10-year anniversary, fans should expect to see some sort of tribute to past winners and coaches of the show throughout the season. Perhaps Adam Levine will make a triumphant return to bicker with Blake Shelton like old times. Only time will tell, but here's to hoping!

For season 20, The Voice is changing up the famous faces sitting in the red swivel chairs. While Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and John Legend are staying put, the show is welcoming back Nick Jonas as the fourth coach. Season 20 will mark the Jonas brother's second year coaching The Voice. Meanwhile, his predecessor and the season 19 champion, Gwen Stefani, is bowing out for the time being (sorry, No Doubt fans!).

Wait, what happened to Gwen Stefani on The Voice?

Though the No Doubt lead singer didn't offer a full explanation as to why she's sitting this round out, the singer has stepped away from the show during the springtime before and returned a season later. As folks remember, Gwen was the judge on season 17 before letting Nick take her spot in season 18. Right on cue, Gwen was back for season 19, which she ended up winning thanks to stellar vocalist Carter Rubin.

Keeping that in mind, there's a good chance Gwen will return in the future and go head to head against her fiancé Blake once again. But in the meantime, we look forward to having Nick back on the series and hope he can pull off his first win ever in season 20.

Who are the battle advisors in season 20?

As announced in the above Instagram, Team Legend will welcome R&B artist Brandy as his battle advisor for season 20, while Team Blake will be helped by country duo Dan and Shay, Team Kelly by Luis Fonsi, and Team Nick by Darren Criss. Just like in past seasons, the selected artists will offer up their expertise and work with the contestants when they reach the battle round stage of the competition.
