Vitamix Launches a Brand-New Stainless Steel Container for Blending

From chilled Spanish gazpacho to a bright green morning smoothie, a blender is an essential tools for making so many different sweet and savory recipes. And it's no secret that Vitamix is the brand behind the powerhouse blenders just about every home cook covets. And now their range of products is a little better than ever. The brand just launched a new product that may just be their sturdiest and shiniest essential yet: a 48-ounce stainless steel container ($199.95, vitamix.com) that's ideal for blending. The container can fit the base of all of the brands' blenders, including their latest A3500 Ascent Series Blender ($599.95, williams-sonoma.com).

While the original plastic container is certainly sturdy, the new non-reactive stainless steel version is even stronger and designed to be chip- and crack-resistant. Plus, the stainless steel acts as an automatic insulator so it will maintain the temperature of hot soups and icy milkshakes as it whirs.

"We know that Vitamix users have different needs, desires, and preferences when it comes to preparing meals for themselves and their families—and many of our customers expressed a desire for a stainless steel container," said Scott Hackman, vice president, strategy, brand, and marketing operations at Vitamix. "This new 48-ounce Stainless Steel Container is not only a response to customer demand; it's also a nod to the very first Vitamix blender, which debuted in 1937 with a stainless steel container."

While plastic is more likely to absorb colors and flavors from food, stainless steel is less likely to show off tomato or berry stains. Plus, the stainless steel container is also BPA-free (including its plastic lid, which allows you to peek inside the blender). Reduce your use of plastic while making your best blended food ever with this product.
