It has SPF, too.

I am thrilled that beauty maximalism is back. As someone who tries hundreds of beauty products a month and wants to live inside a fever dream that looks like Liberace’s cape, the era of no-makeup makeup was incredibly boring and lackluster to me. I stuck to my guns (bright red eyeshadow) and am thankful that people are back on my wavelength to (possibly) appreciate me waxing poetic about foundations and skin tints, like the Glo Skin Beauty C-Shield Anti-Pollution Moisture Tint SPF 30.

My foundation wardrobe is extensive, at any given time there are six core products and another half dozen that are being tested. Because there are so many products, I have to physically rearrange my shelf so that I don’t forget ones that are out of sight, which is how I rediscovered an old favorite, the Glo Skin Beauty tinted SPF.

First of all, I like that I’m getting sun protection. I know it’s one of the most important and necessary skincare steps but it’s easier said than done. This Glo Skin Beauty product ties the SPF in with skin coverage, a step I’m less likely to skip.

I cycle through too many makeup products to know whether or not the vitamin C in the formula has a lasting effect on my skin, but I like the idea anyway. The most important thing about it is the finish — it makes my complexion look like it is in an alternative reality where pores, hyperpigmentation, and redness aren’t some of the main words you’d use to describe my skin. The formula is thin and disguises all of the things that I’m self conscious about while still feeling like my skin.

Before and After using Glo Skin Beauty C-Shield Anti-Pollution Moisture Tint SPF.

I took the photos above in the harsh overhead lighting of my office (as opposed to the warm mood lighting I have carefully curated at home) and yet my skin still looks phenomenal. I was in fact complimented on it shortly following the second photo. C-Shield doesn’t exacerbate the existing oiliness of my skin, yet it doesn’t smother it or make it too matte, either. My complexion remains slightly dewy and feels moisturized, making the product a staple in my never-ending arsenal.

If you’re looking for similar dewy-yet-filtered coverage, head to Amazon and Dermstore to shop C-Shield in one of the 10 available shades.
