Just in time for spring, the colorful world of artist Hunt Slonem has come to life in a curated loft space in Bergdorf Goodman, happening now through the end of May. The pop-up shop, cheekily dubbed the Hop Up Shop as an homage to Slonem's iconic bunny design, features never-before-seen original art and works on paper, along with hand-thrown and -painted bowls, plates, and vases, lacquered boxes, coasters, bed linens, cashmere throws, decorative pillows, and assorted objects that reference Slonem's fantastical take on the natural and spiritual worlds through his coveted bunnies, butterflies, and birds.

The assortment of product, which is made by artisans and mills around the world, is artfully displayed in a kaleidoscope of color and pattern—a welcome sight for shoppers after being at home for the past year. Slonem, who harbors a passion for restoring historic homes around the country, including three mansions in Louisiana, takes his creative cues from nature and is the owner of around 60 pet birds. His art, which is done mainly in the Neo-Expressionist style, is housed in the permanent collections of around 250 museums, including the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Metropolitan Museum and Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City.

"I’ve really enjoyed creating this collection—it’s such a nice extension of what I do," says Slonem. "I consider rabbits to be a sign of rebirth, so it’s fitting that the Hop Up Shop is a part of an exciting retail environment after the year we’ve all been through."

The Hop Up Shop also includes a mix of antiques, like an antique, early 19th-century French window settee, a 19th-century carved mirror, and antique Persian rugs, as a nod to Slonem's ability to mix his art, homewares, and antiques in his own homes and his Brooklyn studio. If you're not able to visit the shop at Bergdorf Goodman before the end of May, you can also visit the Hop Up Shop online.
