From Harper's BAZAAR

Alas, poor Viserion. Daenerys's dragon has suffered a multitude of indignities onscreen, starting with his death at the hands of the Night King during the Battle Beyond the Wall last season, then his resurrection and transformation into the ice dragon responsible for bringing down said wall in Season 7's final moments.

But after tonight's episode, Viserion can finally rest.

In the final moments of Season 8 Episode 3, "The Long Night," Arya Stark took out the Night King with a brilliant maneuver and Littlefinger's dagger, turning the great villain into a million tiny ice shards and eradicating the Army of the Dead for good.

Of course, that also meant she sent Viserion to his final death, since all things created by the Night King-White Walkers, wights, and yes, ice dragons-die when he's defeated.

There were also a few scary moments with Dany's other, very alive dragons during the episode. Before the Night King died, Viserion attacked Rhaegal, the dragon Jon was riding. He seemed mortally injured to the point that Jon even fell off him.

Fortunately, Rhaegal makes an appearance in the teaser for next week's episode, proving he's very much alive:

Additionally, Drogon, whom Daenerys always rides, nearly collapsed under the weight of rioting wights. Dany fell off Drogon and Jorah ran to her rescue, a move which ultimately resulted in his demise. For the full list of all the deaths from the Battle of Winterfell, click here. (RIP Lyanna.)
