‘Virgin River’ Star Has ‘Big Stick Energy’ in Sporty Snap From the Rink

Benjamin Hollingsworth couldn't be more excited to lace his skates and get on the ice, but first, he has to take a selfie...or two.

The new photos were shared to the actor's Instagram grid on May 2, and showed the Virgin River star put his "Big Stick Energy" on display while seated rink-side with all his hockey gear on.

The actor posed in a Toronto Maple Leafs jersey and hat–proving that he's not only an avid and loyal hockey fan but ready and willing to take the ice should his team need him tonight during the big game.

A second photo showed him in action, putting on his gloves and waiting for the Zamboni to clear the ice (which is an ideal time to snap a pic, if we're being honest).

"That big stick energy. 🏒😜," he quipped in the caption before adding a few related hashtags like "#GoLeafsGo" and "#SecondRound."

The 38-year-old Code Black alum also made sure to tag some key accounts,  including the National Hockey League (NHL), the Maple Leafs professional league out of Toronto, and BAUER Hockey, presumably the maker of Hollingsworth's hockey gear.

Tuesday's post scored big with fans of both the Canadian-born actor and the hockey team, who took to the comments to share their excitement.

"Looking legit🔥," one follower gushed.

"GO LEAFS GO!!!! Leaf nation has waited far too long for this 🤞🏻🤞🏻," another cheered.

This isn't the first time the actor has shown off his love for the team or for winter sports. Earlier this spring, Hollingsworth documented his recent ski trip with his wife and kids. Before that, he shared a couple of snaps from their lakeside getaway–clearly, a sense of adventure is something the whole family shares.
