'Virgin River' Fans Are Seriously Confused by Martin Henderson's Behind-the-Scenes Photo
Martin Henderson caused a bit of confusion with a behind-the-scenes photo from the Virgin River set, but the actor returned to Instagram to set the record straight. Martin, who plays Jack on the Netflix hit, shared a dreamy selfie showing him basking in the sunbeams in front of a mountain and holding a coffee mug.
The 48-year-old actor initially captioned the post, "Waiting on set finding sunbeams shooting season 6." Netflix has confirmed that season 6 is a go, but filming has not begun due to the ongoing writers' strike. Fans of the show jumped to the comments section to express their confusion:
"How exciting that you are filming Season 6. This is great news, but what about the writers strike that is still going on?"
"That cut on the cheek was from five, is this a permanent thing, or just following close behind 5? 🤭"
"Awwww seriously filming??. That is fantastic.. I thought it would all be on hold for now"
"WooHoo, filming for real? Sunbeams yes! 🤭"
Martin quickly returned to Instagram to clear up the confusion. He edited his caption "Sorry I originally wrote season 6 which was a silly mistake because we haven’t made season 6. 🙊" Rather, it is a throwback photo from season 5 filming.
Really, no apologies are necessary, because the Virgin River situation is a bit unusual. Seasons 4 and 5 filmed together, and season 5 filming wrapped back last year, so the premiere will not be impacted by the writers' strike. Netflix has not given a specific date for the show's return, but they have confirmed it will be this fall.
