Welcome to all Virgin River fans! If you’re here, you’ve likely binged season 1 of the Netflix drama, and are probably already done with the second. By now, you’ve definitely succumbed to the charms of the fictional small town’s residents, and are desperately wanting more. (Especially after that cliffhanger season 2 finale!) The good news? We're officially going to get it!

After months of waiting, Netflix announced that filming for the third season of Virgin River season has officially wrapped—and it's coming to the streaming platform very soon.

Until the first episode drops, let's go over what we can predict about Virgin River season 3.

When will “Virgin River” season 3 come out?

Netflix recently announced that season 3 of Virgin River will premiere on July 9, 2021. Given that last season was released right around Thanksgiving, this is so much earlier than fans had hoped. The show's biggest stars announced the news with a fun video on Instagram.

"So I just heard about some really exciting news I thought we should share," Alexandra Breckenridge says in the clip. "What do you think, Virgin River team? Should we tell everybody? I think we should tell them."

Then, Martin Henderson jumps in: "You don't have to wait much longer! Because of your love for the show, Netflix are gonna stream season 3 of Virgin River on July 9th."

Who will be in the cast?

It’s hard to imagine the Virgin River cast changing that much. It’s always a risk that Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) could head back to Los Angeles at some point, but then what would the show even be about!?

If we had to guess, the other question marks are in regards to Brady (Benjamin Hollingsworth) and Charmaine (Lauren Hammersley). Brady left off in season 1 getting involved with some rough people, and Charmaine seems to be the only thing stopping Mel and Jack (Martin Henderson) from being together. But considering Charmaine is set to have Jack’s baby, she could be here for the long haul.

Lastly, we're not sure what's going to happen with Preacher (Colin Lawrence), Paige (Lexa Doig), and her son. Only time will tell!

Can I watch the "Virgin River" season 3 trailer?

Yes! The Virgin River season 3 trailer is available and, fair warning—it's intense. While it's only a two-minute clip, the cast of Virgin River really packed in the drama. Watching it will get you so excited (and nervous!) for another season that will once again have us on the edges of our seats.

Can I get any "Virgin River" season 3 spoilers?

The season 3 trailer did give us a few hints about the crazy twists coming to our favorite northern Californian town. Not only does it confirm Jack's survival, but it hints relationship troubles down the road for Jack and Mel. The trailer also suggests that Doc may not be able to practice medicine for much longer, which, yikes. But as of now, the only way to peek into the future is to read the Virgin River books. There are over 20 of them, so plenty to keep you busy while you wait!
