A Viral New 'Virgin River' Video Has Fans Feeling Seriously Emotional

The countdown is officially on for the return of Virgin River! Season 5 hits Netflix on September 7, and, we know, that seem like forever. But the cast of the heartfelt drama gave fans a little gift to pass the time: an all-new video that shows everything we love about the series.

The show's official Instagram account posted a clip of a video from the Netflix fan site, Tudum. The cast, producers, and writers of the show answered the age-old question: Is Virgin River a real place?

Alexandra Breckenridge, who plays Mel Monroe, gave her heartfelt reply to the question: "It's real in our heart of hearts." Ben Hollingsworth, who stars as Brady said, "Everyone may not have the rolling mountains and babbling brooks, but they do have a community that they can access and be a part of and support. I encourage everyone out there to be inspired by Virgin River to do the same."

Fans chimed in with emotional comments like, "It IS real!! Something that fills the heart of so many people, and creates friendships in the process, has got to be real... ❤️" and "It is real to me especially in my heart. Such a beautiful program and a beautiful cast who we all love. Filmed in a gorgeous place."

Other fans shared their excitement with messages like, "WE NEEDED THIS INTERVIEW OMG" and "More of this please! 🤍🙌"

Producer Richard Keith and writer Erin Cardillo hinted at the truth, by comparing the search for Virgin River to the search for leprechauns and a pot of gold. Strictly speaking, Virgin River is not a real town. There is a real-life tributary of the Colorado River called Virgin River, but it is not in Northern California like the fictional village. To get a taste of the show's incredible scenery, you'll want to Vancouver where it is filmed.

But, Mike Valenzuela (Marco) summed it up best: "If you feel, it is real."
