Transformations are a popular video style on TikTok, whether in fitness, cosmetics or even in home improvement. TikTokers love a good before and after, and the newest trend satisfies that desire.
There’s a new CapCut template that is perfect for transitions. It doesn’t have an official name, but the number of trends using the filter is countless. The official template has over 69 million uses, with some people showing differences in their hair, physique and even what they would look like as an older adult.
The aging filter is one of the more popular trends using this template, and people are loving the realistic results.
“You guys look like the couple that’s the sweetest and gives the best hugs,” said @ameriica.1
Other TikTokers are more interested in present transformations rather than aging ones. There is also a trend in people dying their hair and either showing off their new hair or seeing what they would look like in a different color.
“This is crazy,” said @abb3yyyy in her video. “I look like i belong on game of thrones.”
She was able to get advice on how to do her hair thanks to having the two images side by side.
“Whoever is saying blonde is sabotaging you, dark is your color period,” replied @rachellljjj.
Finally, for those who want to show off their progress in the gym, this filter is also a perfect choice. Used correctly, gym goers can show an unedited photo of themselves and then compare it to one with the correct lighting settings — as @p.leo.18 did here.
Despite being spread out across different topics, this filter is clearly a top one for showing drastic changes.
