'The View' Star Meghan McCain Calls Out "Sparring Partner" Joy Behar on a Birthday Instagram

• The View co-host Meghan McCain posted a sweet Instagram about Joy Behar earlier this week.

• On October 7, Joy celebrated her 77th birthday.

• Joy and Meghan's co-star Abby Huntsman also shared a touching selfie to commemorate the longtime co-host's birthday.

Anyone who watches The View knows that Joy Behar and Meghan McCain sit at opposite ends of the political spectrum. But while they may have different opinions, Meghan made it clear in a recent Instagram post that she considers Joy a dear friend.

To celebrate Joy turning 77 earlier this week, Meghan posted a photo of the two from The View's 2018 Halloween special (where Meghan dressed up as Elsa from Frozen and Joy was the "Midterminator"). In the caption, the conservative co-host called Joy her "favorite sparring partner" and a "true TV icon" while wishing her a happy birthday.

"You make me laugh every single day and never back down from your principles. I am lucky to know you and call you a friend! ♥️🇺🇸" she wrote.

Later on, Joy and Meghan's fellow View co-host Abby Huntsman commented on the photo, "This picture!! So perfect." Abby also posted her own photo with Joy and said "life would be boring without people like you."

Ever since Meghan joined the show in October 2017, she and Joy have gotten into many feuds on camera. Even still, Joy previously told GoodHousekeeping.com that both of them recognize that arguing is inevitable.

"We kind of know that, sometimes one of us goes over the line. I won't say what specifically but sometimes things go over the line that then have to be pulled back," she said. "Any conversation that talks about politics or religion is going to go off the rails. It would be very unrealistic to think that there would be no acrimony, disagreements, and maybe even hurt feelings sometimes. That's the way it is."

While that might be the case from time to time, it looks like Joy and Meghan definitely have each other's back when the cameras aren't rolling.
