‘The View’ Fans Voice Concerns for Whoopi Goldberg After Seeing the Season 27 Promo

The View just dropped epic news on social media, but fans have a major concern in regard to Whoopi Goldberg.

In a promo video posted on the daytime series' account on X (formerly known as Twitter), viewers were ecstatic to hear a major announcement about season 27.

"Our new season kicks off LIVE Tuesday, Sept. 5!" read the official caption on August 15. What are the three words each co-host of #TheView shared to describe the new season? Watch ‘til the end for a surprise behind the camera!"

As the clip shows Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin on stage discussing their hopes for the upcoming season into a microphone, people were surprised to see that Whoopi appeared to be missing. This led many to reply in the comments and voice their concerns about whether she is returning to the ABC morning show.

"Where’s Whoopi?" one person asked on X. "Uh ohhh, I don't see Whoopi," another wrote. "WAIT A DOG GONE MINUTE! #Whoopi HAD BETTER SHOW UP ALSO‼️ #NOWHOOPI #NOVIEW," a different follower added.

Luckily, if you watch the whole promo, you'll see Whoopi is indeed there. After Ana ponders where Whoopi is, the angle quickly turns to see where the Sister Act star is hiding. "I'm right here," Whoopi responds while peeking out from behind the camera.

This promo video confirms what Variety revealed about the status of who will return for The View this fall. According to the outlet, all six co-hosts are set to sit at the table, as the last season "averaged 2.375 million total viewers for the season." What's more, the publication noted that The View beat out "all other network and syndicated daytime talk shows and news programs" to become the top morning show on TV.
