Whoopi Goldberg knows how to make everyone laugh, that's for sure.

On an August 1 segment of The View, Whoopi discussed with Joy Behar, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Sunny Hostin and Sara Haines The Real Housewives of Miami star Lenny Hochstein reportedly getting engaged while still married to his estranged wife Lisa Hochstein. As the focus quickly turned into the hosts sharing their own experiences with divorce, the Sister Act star surprised everyone with a candid opinion about being single after three marriages.

"I was dancing and prancing around, I was so glad to get out of there. Every time," she joked as the audience laughed. “Because I always thought, 'You didn’t want to do this from the giddy-up. You knew you didn’t want to do it and you did it anyway. So, shut up and move on.'"

Turns out, that wasn't the only thing she had to say about the topic. When prompted by Joy to talk about why she decided to go through with multiple marriages, Whoopi explained her reasons and brought more hilarity to the table.

"I thought I could make a round hole go into a square peg," she said. "I thought that was what was for me. I was never meant to be married... It was like, 'This is getting expensive and boring.'"

While Whoopi had a slightly different belief about marriage than perhaps her co-stars expected, fans couldn't help but laugh at her frank thoughts on the matter.

"I am like Whoopi about marriage. I shouldn't ever be married. I tried it 3 times and that's enough. I was born to be single," one person wrote on YouTube. "Right On, Whoopi! 😂😅😅," another agreed. "Ditto Whoopi — ditto," a different viewer added.

As Whoopi mentioned, she has been married three times. She first wed Alvin Martin in 1973 and divorced in 1979. She went on to marry David Claessen from 1986 to 1988 and then Lyle Trachtenberg from 1994 to 1995.
