The @villagepsychic is a great account to follow for tons of skate nerd content, and this recent post is a great example of why.
Seeing these three mind-warping hippie jump tricks from Louie Lopez, Jake Johnson and Eddie Cernicky together really shines a perfect light on just how gnarly each of them are.
As far as tricks are concerned—just in general—I think all three of these sort of reside in a category of their own, alongside the few others who have gotten a trick here as well. These belong in a category of their own.
Each heavy and rare in their own respective ways, it takes a certain kind of skater to make something so uniquely epic out of a spot like this. Creativity and imagination shine here, and with these three dudes as subjects, it makes sense.
But still…what doesn’t make sense are the tricks themselves. Louie's in particular, like, it happens but at the same time it doesn't. What?!
Wizardry. Illusions. Voodoo! So rad. Watch them over and over and still…it’s hard to really grasp what’s happening. And as the caption says, "If you saw Jake, Louie, and Eddie doing the hippy jump wallie no you didn’t."
