Video: A Reminder of Just How Stacked The Emerica Team Is (As If You Need One)

I'll admit that I sort of forgot just how stacked the Emerica team is. Maybe "forgot" is the wrong word, but seeing them all together here, clip after gnarly clip, I'm sort of blown away.

There's no weak link here. And that basically never happens. They're diverse. Hungry. Always ripping. In case you forgot—this is Emerica.

Blame it on my age or the era of skateboarding I grew up in, but my favorite Emerica era is definitely around the time This Is Skateboarding dropped. That video changed a lot of our lives and the team was stacked and diverse in a similar way at the time.

It's not often that you have guys like Darren Navarrette and Andrew Reynolds dropping parts in the same video, almost like these days having guys like Erick Winkowski and Leo Romero sharing spots in the van—but don't get me wrong...it works. It works really well, actually. It's amazing.

My point is, I'm getting a similar vibe these days with their current team. This is honestly a super strong clip, beyond just the tricks, because again, it's a heavy reminder that these dudes have stayed true to their roots since the beginning.

For skaters, by skaters. Long live that tinted green.
