Video of Puppy Rescued From One of the 'Worst Puppy Mills' in Missouri Is a Huge Wake-Up Call

This is happening all over the country.

TikTok user @greatplainsspca, a no-kill animal shelter out of Kansas City, Missouri, recently shared a clip that has us heartbroken. The shelter was, luckily, able to step in and help five dogs that were saved from one of the worst puppy mills in Missouri. But the video also serves as a wake-up call.

The sad reality is that there are nearly 10,000 puppy mills across the United States, according to the Humane Society of the U.S. with Missouri being known as the state with the most. So this recent break-up of a Missouri puppy mill is a step in the right direction. Listen to the video and learn more about the dogs they saved.

Ugh, our hearts are completely breaking. We're so thankful that this shelter was able to save five of the dogs, but it's still a huge wake-up call to all the other inhumane puppy mills that are out there. We need to do more to save all these animals.

"So glad you have them!! Thank you ❤️," wrote @ellieburton58. Us too! They'll be getting the medical attention they need. Plus, all the unconditional love they could imagine. @xautibd1 added, "Best wishes with all those little ones. Thank you for rescuing them and loving them." Thank you times a million!

Although the puppies are not up for adoption at the moment, the SPCA is raising money that will help the dogs get the right medical attention they'll need. If you're interested in donating, please go to the Great Plains SPCA website
