Video: The Best Rides from the World's Most Tubed Surfer

Nathan Florence went on a globe-trotting, tube-hunting tear in 2023.

The “Slab Tour” – a self-proclaimed, self-funded, sanity-questioning mission to travel the world in search of the heaviest tubes possible – took him to Australia, Africa, Tahiti, Ireland, and right at home on Hawaii’s North Shore of Oahu.

By all accounts, Nate was the most tubed surfer of the year...maybe all time.

He’s not stopping, either. But with one year in the books, it’s time to lookback on all the epic rides that went down during the inaugural “Slab Tour.” And that’s what Nate does in his latest vlog. It’s a departure from his typical videos; instead of flying to some far-flung locale to chase a swell, Nate reminisces on the best waves of the last year.

And, of course, there’s some bangers in there.

“So, we don’t usually do highlight reels or anything like that,” Nate opens the video. “You guys know how we do it on YouTube. Just…per swell, per trip, behind-the-scenes, all that kind of stuff. But, we thought it would be cool to thank you guys for watching and supporting the channel over the last two years.

“That’s what we made this little highlight reel about. Just a few of the highlight clips. It could’ve been an hour long, but we just put this little four-minute part together. We wanted to release it on YouTube in appreciation for all my subscribers, and everyone who enjoyed the journey with us.

“In 2024, we’re going to do it again.”

Long live the Slab Tour.
