The new Hulu docuseries Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons is getting a lot of buzz for its deep dive into the history of famed lingerie giant Victoria's Secret and its billionaire boss Leslie "Les" Wexner. Everyone has a lot of questions about Wexner, especially because of his close ties with convicted sex offender and former financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The documentary tries to understand why the 84-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, who owned Victoria’s Secret through his company, formerly called L Brands, formed a close bond with Epstein and remained close to him for roughly three decades despite allegations that Epstein sexually assaulted young women and even misappropriated millions of dollars from Wexner.

It’s understandable to have questions after reading this and checking out the documentary. But who is Les Wexner and where is he now? Here’s a rundown.

What companies does Les Wexner own?

Wexner is founder and owner of a company formerly called L Brands. He owns or once owned the following companies:

  • Bath & Body Works

  • Victoria’s Secret

  • The Limited

  • Abercrombie & Fitch

  • Express

  • Henri Bendel

  • Lane Bryant

L Brands has changed its name to Bath & Body Works Inc and split off from Victoria’s Secret, which is now operated under the name Victoria’s Secret & Co, according to the L Brands website.

Who is Les Wexner’s wife?

Wexner is married to Abigail Koppel. Together, they have four children, Sarah, Harry, David and Hannah, according to his Ohio State University trustee bio.

Is he still involved with Victoria’s Secret?

Kind of. Last year, Wexner sold the majority of his stake in L Brands for $2 billion, according to Forbes. However, he still has some stake in the company. Forbes says the billionaire now holds less than five million L Brands shares—that's less than a 2 percent stake in the company he founded in 1963.

What happened to Les Wexner after Epstein’s crimes were revealed?

Wexner has repeatedly denied knowing anything about Epstein’s crimes. Wexner said in a letter to L Brands employees obtained by the New York Times that he was “NEVER aware of the illegal activity charged in the indictment.”

He added, “I would never have guessed that a person I employed more than a decade ago could have caused such pain to so many people.”

How much are his properties worth?

It’s not entirely clear, but Wexner isn’t hurting in the real estate department. Columbus Monthly did a profile on his home in New Albany, Ohio, in 1990, estimating that the property was 50,000 square feet.

He also owns a home in Palm Beach, Florida, that cost $60 million, according to the Real Deal.

What’s his total net worth?

Wexner is worth $6.6 billion, according to Forbes.

Where is he now?

Well, it's kind of unclear what, exactly, Wexner is up to these days. But there's a good chance he's spending time in Ohio, as he has done historically.

Still, Wexner’s reputation was tarnished through his link with Epstein. In 2020, he stepped down from his role as CEO of L Brands, according to NBC News. So, he probably has a lot more time on his hands these days.
