Victoria’s Secret ‘The Tour’ Special to Debut on Amazon Alongside Shoppable Collection

Victoria’s Secret is returning to the small screen this fall with the help of Amazon Fashion.

On Thursday, the women’s intimates retailer announced that The Victoria’s Secret World Tour—a documentary-style fashion event that replaces its iconic fashion show—will be available to stream on Amazon’s Prime Video on Sept. 26. With the help of the e-commerce marketplace’s fashion vertical, Victoria’s Secret will release a shoppable, Tour-inspired collection.

The Tour will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the journey of the VS20, a group of 20 designers and artists from across the world who have conceptualized fashion curations representing cities like Bogota, Colombia, Lagos, Portugal, London, England and Tokyo, Japan on behalf of the retailer. Their creations will be released for sale in the Victoria’s Secret Amazon storefront alongside custom Victoria’s Secret designs, crafted exclusively for The Tour.

The Amazon Original program, as well as the complementary collection, will be available through Amazon Prime across 50 countries including the U.S., Australia, Canada, the U.K., Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, and across Latin America. The feature film will showcase art and culture through the work of the VS20 as well as appearances by supermodels and musical artists.

Victoria’s Secret and Pink brand president Greg Unis said the retailer is “delighted” to expand upon its partnership with Amazon. In June, Victoria’s Secret announced its intention to bring more than 4,000 products, including intimates, loungewear, sleepwear and swimwear to the site, after adding fashion products to its Amazon storefront for the first time in April. The deal with Amazon marks Victoria’s Secret’s first retail partnership.

Items purchased through Amazon will be fulfilled via Prime, giving Victoria’s Secret consumers access to the e-tailer’s fast, free shipping. Some intimate and apparel styles will also be eligible for Amazon’s Try Before You Buy program, which allows Prime customers to try on items at home before committing to buy.

“This collaboration creates an unparalleled viewing experience, bringing the magic of The Tour directly to audiences far and wide,” Unis said, adding, “we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering captivating content that celebrates our heritage and resonates with our customers.”

Amazon Fashion president Muge Erdirik Dogan said the division is looking to “inspire our customers through unique shopping experiences.”

“After expanding our wide selection of Victoria’s Secret lingerie and apparel earlier this summer, we’re thrilled that customers will also be able to shop the film-inspired collection this fall,” she added.
