Victoria Fans, Rejoice! Season 3 Premieres Soon

The new year promises to bring fresh seasons of our favorite shows, and there’s one in particular we just can’t wait to watch. Victoria, a series that airs on ITV in the U.K. and Masterpiece on PBS in the U.S., is our latest historical drama obsession. We devoured the show’s first two seasons, and we're now marking our calendars, because the third season premieres on Masterpiece on PBS in January 2019.

According to PBS, Victoria begins in 1837, when “a diminutive, neglected teenager is crowned Queen Victoria, navigates the scandal, corruption, and political intrigues of the Court, and soon rises to become the most powerful woman in the world.” The series premiered in 2016 and stars Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes as England’s Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. The first two seasons of the series followed Queen Victoria as she became a monarch at age 18, met and married her husband, and navigated the complexities of her role as queen. The third season will bring new challenges and responsibilities for Queen Victoria both on the throne and at home. Watch the preview below for glimpses of a few familiar faces and the storylines that will emerge in the new season.
