Victoria Beckham Says She Isn’t Interested in Cosmetic Procedures — at Least for Now

Cosmetic surgery may be relatively common among the rich and famous, but just because someone has the means to undergo aesthetic procedures doesn't necessarily mean they're interested in them — at least not continuously. Attitudes about beauty can change over time; for example, former Spice Girl and current fashion and cosmetics mogul Victoria Beckham shared with Allure in 2014 that she'd had her breast implants removed. And in a new interview with a London-based talk show, she indicates that any additional appointments with an operating table are off the table, at least for now.

"I haven't been tempted by a cosmetic procedure, but never say never," Beckham told ITV's This Morning, according to British Harper's Bazaar. "Maybe ask me that question in another 10, 15, 20 years time. Maybe that will have changed, but at the moment I would rather celebrate who I am and just be the best version of myself, as opposed to trying to change too much."

But just because Beckham isn't currently interested in plastic surgery doesn't mean she's judgmental of those who are. "It's whatever makes anyone feel good about themselves," she also said on This Morning.

Celebrating who she is, as Beckham said, is a similar sentiment to what she wrote in an open letter to her younger self for British Vogue in 2017. "I should probably say, don’t mess with your boobs. All those years I denied it — stupid. A sign of insecurity," she wrote, seemingly regretting her breast implants and subsequently denying that she had them. "Just celebrate what you’ve got."

Whether Beckham decides to pursue cosmetic procedures in 20 years or tomorrow, she doesn't have to deny it or say anything about it, for that matter, if she doesn't want to. Like everyone else, her body and the beauty treatments she chooses for it are her business and hers alone.
