Victoria Beckham Got a Surprisingly Great Haircut En Route to the People’s Choice Awards
If you zoom in on the People's Choice Awards red carpet photos of Victoria Beckham, there's one thing you definitely won't find: split ends. Posh wouldn't dare show up to an industry event in need of a trim — and on Sunday night, we learned the lengths she'll go to in order to make perfect hair happen.
As Beckham documented on her Instagram Stories, her red-carpet prep ended with stylist Ken Paves giving her a quick haircut in the car. Since this is a Brit we're talking about, the words she used to explain her situation can only be described as taking the piss. "We are now doing hair and makeup in the car, just having a quick haircut," she said to the camera. "Why are we doing this, Ken? Was someone late today? Was someone late, Ken? Is that why we were literally getting ready in the car?"
"I'm never late," Paves replied. (Reader, he was late.) The glam squad apparently drove around Los Angeles as Paves put the final touches on Beckham's hair. (Friendly reminder: These scissors are in the hands of a professional. Don't try this at home — or in a car, rather.)

Before her car cut, Beckham shared her entire getting-ready process on Instagram, from landing in Los Angeles to getting her makeup done to her manicure by nail artist Tom Bachik. If celebrity red-carpet prep can ever be described as "normal," this seemed like a fairly standard pre-show routine. The glam may have ended with an emergency haircut, but you'd never know by the looks of the finished style. Beckham ended up with a Meghan Markle-esque loose, textured, low ponytail with face-framing tendrils, and she took home the PCA Fashion Icon Award. Maybe car cuts are her new lucky charm.
