Victoria Beckham Got a Haircut In the Backseat of Her Car on the Way to the People's Choice Awards

They tell you not to run with scissors, but no one ever said anything about driving with scissors — which is good news for Victoria Beckham, who got an impromptu haircut in the backseat of a moving vehicle on her way to the People's Choice Awards on Sunday night.

The 44-year-old shared a glimpse of her red carpet prep on Instagram, posting videos to her story that began innocently enough, with the designer talking all things nails with celebrity nail artist Tom Bachik. But next thing you know, it's snipping time.

“So we are now doing hair and makeup in the car, just having a haircut,” Beckham told the camera.

Apparently, the reason for her last-minute haircut was that her stylist and good friend Ken Paves was running a little late, which threw off Beckham's schedule as well. The former Spice Girl poked fun at Paves, chiding, “Why are we doing this Ken? Was someone late today? Was someone late Ken? Is that why we are literally getting ready in the car?”

Now we don’t suggest cutting your hair in a moving vehicle, but obviously it worked for Beckham. She arrived at the awards looking stunning a crisp white suit that she designed herself of course.

The star was in attendance to accept the inaugural Fashion Icon Award which honors both her impeccable sense of style as well as her eponymous fashion label, which turns 10 this year.
