Who doesn’t love Casual Fridays? Whether it’s the opportunity to spy on your coworkers’ latest designer steals, or simply the chance to show off that fabulous Hawaiian dad shirt you bought on vacation, a relaxed dress code always brings out the office’s sartorial best.

It seems that Casual Fridays are firmly not on Victoria Beckham’s agenda, however. Arriving at Paris’s Gare du Nord this morning to attend the Vogue Fashion Festival, Beckham delivered a take on power dressing that was both on-trend and ready for the boardroom. Dressed in a grey wool two-piece with an ’80s-style gold chain belt from her Spring 2020 collection, she paired the suit with a pussy bow shirt covered in a handwritten print, before topping it off with a crimson corsage. Finally, a purple croc Hermès Birkin and matching pumps gave the look an artful dose of clashing color.

It’s safe to say that Victoria Beckham looks good in just about anything. And by regularly sporting the latest looks from her recent collections, Beckham serves as her own best billboard. Why wouldn’t put her most stylish executive foot forward even as the weekend approaches? To paraphrase Dynasty’s Alexis Carrington: she owns 51% of this company!

If you're looking for reasons behind her singular approach to style, then this 73 Questions interview from 2015 might hold the answer. When asked why she rarely smiles in photos, her response was simply: “I’m smiling on the inside. I feel that I have a responsibility to the fashion community.” We can only assume that responsibility extends to dressing up to the nines on Fridays, too—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
