With its spate of recent shows like The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian and now Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Star Wars universe is once again at the forefront of the public consciousness. (For many fans, it never left.) With that comes a whole slew of fan theories and people online pointing out what they believe to be plot holes, some of which are spurious or wilful misreadings, although others have merit.

For example, one of the most long-running jokes in Star Wars is that the Stormtroopers, the foot soldiers of the Galactic Empire whose uniforms carry more brand recognition than any real-life fashion designer could ever hope for, are truly terrible at their jobs. Specifically, they're bad shots, and their lack of aim with those otherwise lethal blasters can pretty much be credited with helping the Rebels win.

This flaw has so irked the guys at the Corridor Club VFX channel that they actually decided to edit the original Star Wars trilogy to see how it would look if the Stormtroopers weren't visually impaired and were actually able to hit their marks. And it turns out, one of the most epic sagas in cinematic history would have ended up being a whole lot shorter.

Reimagining the entire original trilogy from the point-of-view of the Stormtroopers, who have unionized and been given healthcare coverage which includes Lasik, VFX creators Fenner and Jordan offer up a five-and-a-half minute supercut of some of the most iconic Star Wars sequences ever, from Han vs. Greedo to the Rebels vs. the Death Star... complete with a motion-capture CGI Luke Skywalker that only looks slightly deader behind the eyes than the version used in the actual Star Wars shows.
