Veronica Paulsen Practices Double Backflip Into Utah Pool

Veronica Paulsen made a name for herself when she won the coveted 2020 Queen of Corbet's Couloir at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, Utah.

Three years later, Paulsen became the first woman to attempt a double backflip into Corbet's, and while she didn't stick the landing, the trick earned her the King & Queen's of Corbet's People's Choice Award.

Paulsen is practicing her double flips this offseason at Utah Olympic Park in Park City. Check out her double into the pool in the video below:

Paulsen looks poised to attempt that double into Corbet's again. Landing the trick would surely earn her another Queen of Corbet's crown.

With all of the modern airbags and artificial snow surfaces, it's nice to know that skiers are still jumping into pools like their forefathers that came before them.

Utah Olympic Park has multiple ramps of varying sizes that allows for freestyle shows in the summer for spectators. The facility also has multiple ski jumps, a sliding track, and will soon have multiple downhill trails serviced by a new chairlift next season.

The park is a big part of Salt Lake City's push to bring the Winter Olympics back to Utah in 2030. Stay tuned here at Powder Magazine for all SLC Olympic news. We'll keep you covered.

Since you're here, let's revisit Paulsen's absurd double backflip attempt at last year's Kings & Queens of Corbet's Couloir:
