Vermont Ski Resorts Celebrate 10+ Inches Of Snow

Vermont saw a bit of snow last night. Whether you're a hardcore weather tracker or an everyday ski enthusiast, the sight (is there a sound?) of snow falling makes for pretty sweet dreams.

Sugarbush in Vermont's Mad River Valley posted this picture to Instagram, with the caption, "We picked up over 10 inches of snow at mid mountain overnight - not a bad way to start the week!"

In the past 24 hours, many resorts across The Green Mountain State rejoiced in the opportunity to shovel their driveways and gun it straight to the hill. (If you don't have school or work, of course. Funny how Mother Nature chose a Sunday night for this one!)

Jokes aside, the reports are serious business: Killington saw a fresh 7 inches, Smuggler's Notch (aka Smuggs) reported "9 - 12 inches" of new snow, and Stowe even called it a powder day because of the 8+ inches of pow.

Stowe provides notes along with their snow report, and this one included a stoked claim that "last night we saw snow showers drop over 8 inches of fresh, heavy, wet snow at all elevations bringing our season snowfall total to 23 inches!"

Things can get pretty fluffy for a region famous for their ice!

Stowe also mentioned the possibility for a couple small snow showers today as clouds still hang over the area. Either way, get those higher-vis goggle lenses changed out, because it sounds like the light could be a little flatter than usual.

Oh wait, it's New England, those are probably the daily drivers! This weekend, I forgot to change out my low-light lenses and suffered temporary blindness from the glaring white snow... but I'll take what you guys got on the East Coast any day of the week.

6 inches plus of fresh pow in November? That's what we're talking about!
