Vermont Ski Resort To Debut 'New' Trail Much To Pass Holders' Delight

Sugarbush, Vermont has been working this offseason to cut a new route for the 'Reverse Traverse' trail that connects the Valley House Quad to the Heaven's Gate Triple.

The previous route was a painfully slow traverse that required lots of pushing for skiers, and was a nightmare for snowboarders.

The new route will be significantly more downhill and will link directly with the Heaven's Gate Traverse. Check out the video below:

Sugarbush also announced that the trail will have new snowmaking guns for next season.

"Reverse Traverse is also getting fully equipped with snowmaking for the first time ever! This will allow us a variety of snowmaking and trail opening options in the early season. In total the trail(s) now have 34 hydrants and 4,000 feet of snowmaking pipe between water and air."

The announcement has been met with excitement by locals and Ikon Pass holders that frequent the resort. Other ski resorts should take note.

It seems an easy way to make skiers happy is to eliminate or subdue the annoyance of traversing over a flat trail.
