Vermont Resort Reports 'Beast' Of Storm; Possibly Last One Of Season

The end of ski season is weird. Storms are still celebrated, but every powder day comes with the question, "could these turns be my last?"

Killington Resort in Vermont put this idea into action, writing, "this storm is a beast! Over 13" have fallen so far the snow is coming down even harder. This could be the last storm of the season, so come on up and shred with your friends!" See below.

Yet, with that much snow, it's hard to imagine people feeling sad in any way.

Killington's report on April 4th reported that 19" of snow had fallen so far and mountain officials were still predicting at least a few more inches before it is done.

The resort has seen 228 inches of snow this season, and has a base depth of 19 inches.

134 of 155 trails are open, and 12 out of 22 lifts are spinning.

Although it was windy to start off the weather pattern, the winds will thankfully calm down today and the resort expects fewer wind holds.

Temperatures are expected to be in the twenties with snow showers continuing to come down throughout the day.

Sounds like a good time to be a Vermont skier.
