Vermont Resort Gets Almost A Foot of Fresh Powder in One Day

Sugarbush Resort in Vermont keeps laying the good news--and the snow--on thick as almost a foot of fresh pow piled in over the last day.

Officials at the mountain posted a mouth-watering Instagram post yesterday of covered trees and people riding little features off to the sides of the trails with the caption, "11 inches of base building in the past 24 hours."

Between the East Coast and Colorado getting dumped on this week, it feels like winter is finally in full swing.

20 inches is considered the general baseline for resorts to open with acceptable (aka somewhat normal and varied) terrain.

Currently, Sugarbush has a 12 inch base, but they already have 64 runs open, with 60% and 288 acres of their terrain open.

Castlerock is not yet open, but it is supposed to open soon, so stay tuned for that.

Plus, Lincoln Peak Uphill Route is open for boot-packing, if you're looking to get those ski legs back the hard way.
