Vermont is home to great food (like Ben & Jerry's), gorgeous homes, and romantic inns, but if you've ever planned on moving to the Green Mountain State for good, we've found a deal for you.

Vermont Governor Phil Scott signed a bill this week that commits his state to paying people to move to Vermont if they work remotely for a company in another state. And the payout is immense: You could get up to $10,000 in moving and business expenses.

The financial incentive is meant to help cover the cost of moving, as well as any new technology or business items needed to work remotely, while the goal of the bill is to draw more people to the state. Vermont is the second smallest state by population and the sixth smallest by area.

Joan Goldstein, the state's economic development commissioner, said there has already been an incredible response to the moving incentive program. "I'm getting calls from Wisconsin, Texas, Florida, D.C., you name it," she told Good Morning America. "It's all over the country ... My email boxes are overflowing. It's a wonderful thing."

To qualify for the program, you must establish state residency in Vermont by January 1, 2019, and you must work remotely for a full-time business that is not located in Vermont. The grants are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and current residents are not eligible for the program.
