Verizon Customers Can Get Free Disney+ for a Year

From Men's Health

  • Disney+ launches on November 12.

  • Verizon Wireless customers with unlimited data plans will be able to get a year of the new streaming service for free.

  • After that year, the service will revert to the standard $6.99/month price.

The wait for Disney+—and, by proxy, original work like The Mandalorian, and access to Star Wars films, MCU films, and every episode of The Simpsons—is almost over. The streaming service launches on November 12 with a base price of $6.99 a month, but if you're a Verizon Wireless customer, you just might get your first year of Disney+ for free.

Verizon is giving customers with unlimited data plans (new and existing) their first year of the new streaming service for free, and Fios TV or broadband internet customers will also be offered the same deal. As Verizon's website says, "Starting November 12, get your first year of Disney+ on us with Unlimited or when you switch to Fios Home Internet or 5G Home Internet. Then $6.99/mo after." The site then offers a field where you can enter your e-mail to sign up for updates.

Ahead of that November 12 launch, Disney recently took to Twitter with an absolutely mammoth thread that included every (or so we think!) movie, original movie, made-for-tv movie, and so on that will be on the service from day one. People did a bit of the lord's work, compiling all of this into an easily-digestible list.

Whether you're paying for Disney+ or getting it for free, that November 12 launch date is rapidly approaching, and it's hard to not be a little excited for the options this will bring.
